A 1K Ohm Resistor is wired in series with the Anode.
I was pulling my hair out, thinking I had bad batch. Here's what the gentleman told me and I quote, I ordered the LED and resistor from Digikey and bought 3 LED's & resistors in case I screw something up. Where the LED leads connect to the cap connections, I may need some hepl making sure I connect it correctly. The Bose EQ may be old enough that is doesnt have a 3 prong AC plug. Where the resistor is soldered to the anode, do I cut the anode lead and splice in the resistor, or just solder both ends of the resistor and leave the anode lead in one piece. He sent me a diagram showing the resistor connection the the Anode in series. I spoke with a gentleman who's business is restoring these EQ's and he said to get a low wattage (1/4 or 1/2 watt) red LED and a 1k ohm resistor and connect the LED w/resistor to the 20w connection where the power caps solder to the board. There are two versions of the EQ, the 901. Bose also made an equalizer with a similar visual aesthetic to accompany the 901 speaker series. They are efficient speakers that can be driven with a 10-watt amplifier. The light assembly was cut at the solder joints.
